EC Approves £3.4m for Scotlands Broadband Development

The European Commission (EC) has given its seal of approval to plans that would see £3.4m of state aid (public funds) being spent on improving the country's broadband access. The project is expected to focus on connecting remote and rural areas, which account for roughly 1% of the overall Scottish population.
