The UK Internet Service Providers Association (
ISPA) has suggested a number of welcome improvements to its testing regime for the '
Best Consumer ISP' and '
Best Business ISP' annual award categories.
The association would seek to test data, video, Internet telephony and email performance over the broadband connection, as opposed to the usual composite measurements. This could provide for a far more realistic set of results and thus make the awards more reflective of real-world performance.
The matter is being discussed this morning at a Q&A session in Earl's Court (e-Commerce lecture theatre, Internet World 08).
