WightCable Bring WiMAX Broadband to the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight based cable provider 'Wight Cable' (not to be confused with Wight Cable North/Smallworld) has announced a new deal with Airspan Networks for the delivery of a WiMAX (IEEE 802.16) based broadband wireless service.
The operator hopes to provide WiMAX voice (VoIP) and data services across the island to both residential and business customers, starting in the town of Newport:
