Pipex (Tiscali) has revamped its business broadband packages to be cheaper and include speeds of up to 16Mbps using ADSL2+ technology. Prices start at £14.50 +vat per month for a 50:1 (contention ratio) 'up to' 8Mbps (25GB capped) package and go up to £49.00 for an 'up to' 16Mbps "unlimited" usage (20:1) service.

Contracts can be either 3 or 12 months in length, with the latter including a free Speedtouch 585 ADSL 2+ compatible WiFi Router. Free setup, connection, anti-virus, webspace, e-mail and a static IP address are included across all packages; not to mention the included 500mins of TalkTime voice calls.

Typically there is an acceptable usage policy at work, although Pipex offers guaranteed traffic performance for its two most expensive options. There's also 24/7 UK based customer support from its Stoke Mandeville centre.
