Kingston Communications (KCOM) has launched a new set of
Karoo broadband packages for consumers across Hull and East Yorkshire. The new packages, which cost from £8.49 (first three months) upwards and come in several different usage limited flavours, follow Kingstons recent wholesale broadband price reductions (
original news).
Customers will be able to select the service with the best usage limit for them from the following options. There are three new choices available:
- Karoo Lite: an up to 8Mbps service, with email and a 2GB download limit for just £8.49 per month for the first three months (subsequent months charged at £12.99).
- Karoo Mid: an up to 8Mbps service with 10GB download limit for just £16.99 per month with 25MB web space, an inclusive router and free Technical Support.
- Karoo Pro: an up to 8Mbps service with 75GB download limit for £29.99 per month. This package also includes unlimited downloads between midnight and 8am every day, with 50MB web space, an inclusive wireless router and free Technical Support.
Kevin Walsh, Executive Director of Kingston Communications, says Feedback from our customers was that speed was of paramount importance whichever package they chose. Our new Karoo services give customers faster speeds at all levels. They then have the option to choose a package based on how often they go online and how much information they want to download.
Weve designed the packages to suit everyone from the light user right up to those wanting to access content-rich services and we can help existing customers to identify which package might be best for them, based on their current usage.
The packages will be available to both new and existing customers when they are launched later this month. Signing up or switching to the new packages is free, except for Karoo Lite which has an initial set up charge of £30. Existing Karoo customers can choose to stay on their current package or switch to one of the new options.
