Connectivity wholesaler
murphx, which supplies several UK ISPs, has today announced the launch of its new ADSL2+ products. These will provide speeds of up to 24Mbps download and 1.3Mbps upload across over 800 exchanges throughout the UK:
Carl Churchill, Commercial Director at murphx comments The launch of ADSL2+ is a major milestone for murphx. The demand for the service has increased rapidly as organisations look for high bandwidth solutions to deploy convergent applications. With BT 21CN not providing a national ADSL2+ product until 2011 partners have been concerned that there was a long wait for such technology when the requirements for such a service are now apparent. Our partners no longer have to concern themselves with both upload and download bandwidth constraints they have experienced with other broadband products.
The ADSL2+ product is offered to partners with automated provisioning and connection management through the flagship murphx XPS platform and is available as part of a managed service as well as delivery over L2TP.
BT will in fact begin a national rollout of ADSL2+ technology this year, although admittedly it may take awhile to complete full coverage.
