Telefonica Europe has today released its latest fourth quarter results to the end of 31st December 2007, which revealed a significant growth in O2 UK's (Be Unlimited) broadband uptake to total 100,000. This compares with around 40,000 during September 2007:


O2 UK’s broadband service had rolled out to 833 exchanges by the end of the quarter, giving its broadband network a population coverage of 52%, with 71,000 broadband customers at the end of 2007. The base has since grown to over 100,000, which pushes it into our Top 10 by subscriber size for the first time.
