The UK broadband wireless ISP LTT has officially announced the introduction of ChoiceNet, a system that allows you to customise the package (speed, services etc.) you want. NOTE: The PR is dated 30th July, although it's only just arrived today:
LTT announces ChoiceNet, the worlds first Custom Broadband Service. ChoiceNet removes the traditional constraints of fixed service-offerings for example 512Kbps/256Kbps and opens the door to any downstream and any upstream configuration.
LTT ChoiceNet works in 256 Kbps increments, so a user is free to choose speeds from 256 Kbps to 2 Mbps in any downstream/upstream configuration; with choice of contention ratios of 5:1, 10:1, 20:1 and 50:1.
LTT ChoiceNet users can upgrade their bandwidth/contention on-the-fly and without additional reconfiguration cost using LTT's Bandwidth-on-Deman service.
LTT ChoiceNet is based on LTT's proprietary Artemis platform, the world's most advanced service-delivery platform. With Artemis, LTT will shortly be able to offer advanced services such as voice and TV; voice trials begin 1st August 2004.
LTT ChoiceNet starts at £12.50 per month for a 256Kbps symmetric product, which is equivalent to BT's Midband product range. When used at the higher end with 5:1 contention the service offers a near leased-line service at a fraction of the cost.

LTT's service is available in areas across Kent, Sussex and Surrey; with new towns/villages being enabled monthly.
