Broadband Users Gain Cheaper VoIP

We forgot to post this news yesterday afternoon, so here it is now. BT has cut the cost of its 'BTs Broadband Voice' Voice-over-IP (VoIP) service to make voice calls via the Internet even cheaper:
BT SLASHES COST OF TELEPHONE CALLS WITH VoIP
Broadband customers can now save on their voice calls too, thanks to the latest price cuts to BTs Broadband Voice package.
BTs Broadband Voice is a ground-breaking service that enables telephone calls to be made via a handset, but uses the customers broadband connection, rather than the traditional telephone lines to connect the calls. These calls are therefore cheaper, but maintain a high quality of service; these costs are set to be reduced still further with the latest price cuts from BT.
The prices for Broadband Voice will now be as follows:
Broadband Voice Anytime Plan - for a monthly rental of £14.00 customers can make UK calls and calls to other Broadband Voice customers free of charge.
Reduced rental - Evening and Weekend Plan is reduced from £6.50 to £5.50 (inc VAT) and the Anytime Plan Reduced from £14.00 to £13.00 (inc VAT) for all BT Broadband customers.
Special Offer - Three month rental free for BT Broadband customers who order a new Broadband Voice Evening and Weekend Plan between 1 July and 31 October 2004.
The service is available to anyone equipped with a broadband connection, Ethernet modem or router and touch-tone telephone. Cable customers must have a broadband connection to use the service. Free support is available to all Broadband Talk Voice users by calling a freephone number. Broadband Talk Voice is available exclusively online by logging on to http://www.bt.com/broadbandvoice .
