Wanadoo Launch £17.99 1Mbps ADSL

UK ISP Wanadoo has announced the introduction of a new 1Mbps broadband ADSL service, which costs just £17.99 per month (roughly 60p per day). The service goes live tomorrow (25th), albeit restricted by 2GB of data usage per month (£27.99 for 30GB):

Wanadoo today unveils a revolutionary Broadband proposition in the UK 1Mb Broadband for £17.99 per month - obliterating the under £20 benchmark for super-fast consumer Broadband. Available from tomorrow, 25 August, this ground-breaking Broadband deal, by far the best from any leading UK player, makes truly fast Broadband an affordable reality for more Internet users and underlines Wanadoos commitment to being a leader in Broadband in Europe.

Wanadoos 1Mb Broadband service is fully compatible with Wanadoos new Livebox the UKs first Broadband Gateway for the home, offering a full wireless Broadband solution. 1Mb Broadband is also ideal for the enhanced Broadband services Wanadoo will be unveiling over the coming months, including Voice over IP and Video on Demand, as the high-speed connection provides even better quality for all the things users want to do.

Twice as fast as standard Broadband, Wanadoo 1Mb gives users much faster downloads, particularly useful for those who download lots of photos, music tracks and films. In addition to being an always-on connection, it also improves performance for home networking and movies-on-demand, and more responsive online gaming. Downloading a track from Wanadoo Music Club, our legal music download service, takes on average just 30 seconds, so customers can be listening to their favourite music in even less time.

Where the 1Mb service is not available at the customers exchange, 512k Broadband will be provided instead.
