Research conducted by Yahoo found that over half of men find what they want online in less than a minute, while 18% of women take ten times longer (that's roughly 10 minutes, for the less mathematically inclined):
According to the Yahoo Search survey, when it comes to perusing the internet, men are "faster, more focused, and more competent" than women. Less than a quarter of men are diverted from their original search target, yet 84 per cent of women get distracted while searching.
"It was a pretty close call, but navigating the internet has joined map reading on the list of things men are officially better at," said Andy Williams, surfing manager at Yahoo. "Men and women's brains function differently and this clearly impacts on how they find online."Hopefully our male readers can resist the obvious temptation to punch the air shouting, "
YES! HA! Take that you feeble females types" (sarcasm mode disengaged). More @
