The UK telecoms regulator,
Oftel, has confirmed that the number of UK businesses and homes with a broadband connection has now exceeded the two million mark!:
The popularity of broadband - which speeds up connection times dramatically by giving customers a permanent link to the web - has gathered pace with 35,000 new connections every week, the regulator said.
The figure, based on information from network operators, means that the number of people using broadband has doubled since October, when an estimated 20,000 new homes and businesses were connecting every week.We can't help but wonder whether or not
Oftel has double checked its figures to see how many of those lines are truly broadband (over 256Kbps)? More @
