Yahoo and BT Sign Internet Deal

Posted: 16th Jun, 2003 By: Dave
Yahoo and BT have just release this press release, seems to us that its just another VISP

"Yahoo and British Telecom say they will offer a co-branded Internet access service in the United Kingdom.

Yahoo said users of "BT Yahoo! Broadband" would have access to a customised browser and homepage, among other features.

The two sides had earlier agreed to a co-promotion deal for their products and services. Under the new deal, they said they would work together specifically on new email and instant messaging products for their customers.

Yahoo and BT said users of the current BT Openworld broadband service would have the opportunity to migrate to the new joint offering, and said a dial-up Internet access service would also be made available."

Wonder if thats a dialup 'unmetered' service or just a standard 0845 one. Still another ISP to add to the already saturated market
