NTL has announced its first quarter financial results, which has seen revenues decline. Despite this, the operator has managed to clock up a total of 691,000 broadband subscribers, although this could be less considering that 150Kbps services are no longer considered broadband:
The company, which emerged from a six-month long stint in bankruptcy protection in January this year, posted EBITA of £156.5m, up from £154.2m a year ago, and above its target of £155m. Revenue during the quarter slipped to £546.5m, from £556.1m in the first quarter last year.
The company picked up 27,100 net new UK customers during the first quarter, but managed to sign up 144,000 additional subscribers to its broadband internet service.More @
