Telewests UK ISP wing, Blueyonder, has today issued a new press release officially announcing the launch of its new 2Mbps broadband cable modem service costing £50 per month:
Download Dynamite!
Telewest Broadband today launches its ultra-fast 2Mb home internet service across the UK, following successful trials with 1,500 of its blueyonder broadband customers.
The new flagship service costs from £50 per month and means the cable companys customers can now choose the speed of their broadband internet connection from 512kb, 1Mb or 2Mb.
The 2Mb blueyonder broadband service offers a continuous connection to the web, 40 times faster than traditional dial-up services and four times more powerful than broadband from BT, AOL or Freeserve.
Home internet users can experience a premier-class web connection and quickly download even the biggest music, film and software files.
Chad Raube, director of internet services at Telewest Broadband, said: High-speed surfing is like all good things in life - once youve had a taste you want more. While BT and other major ADSL providers offer a one-size-fits-all service, we recognise people have different needs and provide a menu of cable services to suit.
As with all new services, weve listened to the views of our customers and used them to shape a mind-blowing internet experience. Eighty five per cent of our 2Mb triallists said the service had met or exceeded their expectations.
Existing blueyonder broadband customers can quickly upgrade their connection, at no charge, through the self-care pages of the blueyonder web site.
