This is a special ISPr site update to inform our readers that we're getting ready to introduce the second revision of our 'Reader ISP Reviews' system.
Toward the end of last year we launched our first incarnation of the 'Reader Reviews' service, it appeared to work, yet we received a lot of feedback suggesting improvements.
Many felt that the system was, while useful, off-putting because you had to register a separate account and thus forum users would have two extra things to remember.
Others requested greater filtering of the Top 10 output, so that one ISP receiving a maximum rating could not excel into the top spot so fast. We were also asked to introduce ISP comparison features.
The good news is that we've prepared a new system, one which can share the members database from our forum and has a number of 'comparison' features bolted on.
The bad news is that it will require us to loose the existing system and all of its current reviews. The two are so vastly different that an import solution was found to be unworkable.
We hope to introduce the new system before the end of May and have a public beta ready by the end of this week. Stay tuned.
