Dialup and broadband ISP customers of Kingston Telecommunications could soon benefit from new antivirus, anti-spam and firewall services provided by the security systems integrator, Integralis:
The new services will be available to business and consumer customers. Sixteen other companies were bidding for the contract.
"Security is such a specialised area that we needed someone focused on it to make sure we had the right level of support to customers. We looked at doing it ourselves but it would take 18 months to get a suitable system up and running. We think we've been able to offer this for a very reasonable price."
The service will be available for about £2 per user, per month, and is available immediately. It's a pity they didn't include it in the existing price(s). More @
