It was reported some time ago that Affinity had more or less pulled the plug on Breathe. However some customers were not informed and have now received the following message, despite the service being closed in April.
UPDATE: At least one customer of UK ISP SurfAnyTime has now received an identical message, we're attempting to clarify what is going on..Dear Subscriber,
As part of our ongoing programme to develop and improve the Breathe Internet service, you are required to upgrade to our new, user-friendly Desktop Dialler.
This will ensure continued easy access to all your normal web services and email accounts, whilst allowing us to add new services and functionality as they become available. Upgrade now by visiting http://www.vitalregistration.com and follow the simple onscreen instructions.
Note: Failure to upgrade will shortly result in you being unable to connect to your Breathe ISP account or emails.
This is necessary in order to implement our service improvements and we apologise for any inconvenience.
Thank you,
Breathe Customer Services Team

http://www.vitalregistration.com/index.php?page=faqsIt's certainly a stark contrast to the last message, which read:
Please be advised that your internet connection account will be terminated on Thursday 24th April at 5pm. This is due to Affinity Internet (Virtual ISP Services Ltd) being placed in administration.Sadly there are still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the aftermath of Affinity's collapse, although it's clear that the entire service (e-mail, at least) did not end on the aforementioned date.
Quite who this new group are (Vital Registration) is anybodies guess, certainly at least one of our readers (Andrew) is concerned about trusting them.
