Last week NCO Financial Services sent out a number of 'debt collection' letters to customers on behalf of Tiscali. The ISP quickly stated that this was a mistake, yet the problem has continued:
Greg Palmer from Peterborough was shocked when he received a bill demanding £14.98 from NCO Financial Services (UK) Ltd on behalf of Tiscali UK Ltd.
Although the bill was sent to his home address it was sent to "PC Plod". To make matters worse, Greg doesn't even have a Tiscali account.
But when he contacted NCO he found that the demand was genuine. After explaining the problem, the debt collection outfit said it would get in touch with Tiscali to try and resolve the matter. So far Greg hasn't heard a peep out of Tiscali or NCO.Unsurprisingly NCO has received a whole raft of complaints from Tiscali customers claiming that the requests aren't valid. We're inclined to believe them; Tiscali has shown consistent billing incompetence for sometime now.
So, will Tiscali finally wake up and recognise the fact that their billing department is about as reliable as a dead horse at the Grand National? Probably not. More @
