The UK broadband satellite offering ISP
Norfolk Satellite has spotted that a similar service from
SatISP, which only just launched earlier this year, has now vanished and put its domain up for sale.
Norfolk Satellite posted the following message of support on our discussion forum:
Open invitation for ex SatISP customers
Some of you may have noticed that SatISP, a fellow reseller of Jetstream, have vacated their domain and put it up for sale. Although we have no 'insider info' on the situation, we are assuming that they have ceased operating as a reseller altogether. If that's the case, NS is sorry to see this happen - Jetstream's a decent product and deserves to be promoted as much as possible.
However, we realise what's involved in running a business like theirs and wish the erstwhile owners of SatISP every success in whatever they'll be concentrating on in the future.
As to the ex-customers of SatISP, they are welcome to share our customer forum at Norfolksatellite.co.uk and regain an extra level of support via contact with fellow Jetstream users.Earlier this year another Jetstream reseller, 2point4, bit the bullet after a dispute with their supplier. Other ISPs continue to use the Jetstream system without problems; it's unclear exactly what has happened to SatISP.
