UK ISP edNET has announced the introduction of a new single broadband ADSL router solution, which allows virtually any PC or Mac (or even your X-Box or Playstation2) to use the broadband connection:
edNET is introducing a single router solution to improve its portfolio of Broadband ADSL services. The new router will ensure even greater benefits in terms of performance, support, upgrades and cost.
The new model is a simple Ethernet-based router which allows virtually any PC or Mac (or even your XBox or Playstation) to use your broadband connection.
It avoids the need for a USB driver which can create difficulties when connected to older versions of operating systems.
The single router is the result of detailed research by the edNET team who were determined to find a solution to the problems some customers were experiencing with compatibility and varying levels of performance.
Customers using older versions of Microsoft or Apple Operating Systems can now enjoy the benefits of broadband without having to spend a single penny in costly upgrades.
And the benefits don't stop there. SingleADSL customers (traditionally using USB modems) no longer have to spend money replacing an ADSL modem for a router when upgrading to a businessADSL service.
With just one call, or email, to edNET you can seemlessly upgrade your service. The team also provides a remote configuration service, for a nominal fee, which may be useful if you wish to make additional changes to the router setup to support a network instead of a single PC.
