Gio Internet has issued a formal apology to its customers regarding a lack of phone support. Apparently a phone system failure left thousands without telephone support:

Phone system failure left thousands without phone support
Gio Internet faced a phone system failure which left potential customers and existing customer without phone support for 24 hours. The problem had been denied by Gio Internet's phone equipment supplier Nesco and BT. The issue has been resolved and phone service has been resumed.
