UPDATE: Whoops, used a 2 instead of a 3 for the subscriber additions - corrected ;). UK ISP
Freeserve added 35,000 additional broadband ADSL subscribers to its service during the fourth quarter of 2003, making for a total of 158,000:
The company said that the broadband growth has also helped to spur growth in its average revenue per user (ARPU) in the UK. ARPU reached EU9.1 in December, up from EU8.5 in June 2003.
The strong broadband growth and performance in the fourth quarter helped Wanadoo to end last year with revenue growth in excess of 25% at group level, in line with its objectives.
The ISP reported full year revenue up 26% year-over-year at EU2.6bn, with the biggest increased coming from the Internet Access, Portals and e-Merchant division.Sadly the
netimperative.com item also hints that, in the future, the
Freeserve name may still be re-branded to Wanadoo; only time will tell.
