The Scottish Executive has launched a new website that allows property buyers to check if the related area is covered by broadband. Broadband coverage has become an increasingly important factor in where people choose to live:
The site - http://www.broadbandforscotland.co.uk - has a postcode checker which enables buyers looking at residential or commercial properties to check if they have high-speed connections.
The idea is that sellers will be able to make their property more attractive by using the website to find their local broadband provider and get hooked up.
The website also contains information on broadband availability in rural communities and how residents can register with their local exchange to be activated.More @
