The latest statistics from Datamonitor estimate that European businesses have so far spent upwards of $25.8 Billion on broadband connections:
The report reveals that finance, the public sector and manufacturing account for 27%, 25% and 19% of current European business access broadband revenues.
Broadband has enabled companies of all sizes to further their productivity, particularly noticeable in the public sector especially as governments are strongly promoting e-iniatives in health, education and government services to improve the effectiveness, availability and reach of public sector services.The figure is expected to hit $43.3bn by 2007, with SME's focusing on SDSL (same speed both ways) services.
