WFCS & Entanet Build Dedicated Server

Posted: 03rd Mar, 2004 By: MarkJ
UK website hosting group Wyre Forest Computer Solutions (WFCS) and ISP Entanet have teamed up to build a dedicated server business:

WFCS BUILDS DEDICATED SERVER BUSINESS ON FIRM FOUNDATIONS

Wyre Forest Computer Solutions (WFCS), one of the UK’s most consistently high-performing Internet hosting providers, is building up a significant dedicated server business using the infrastructure of leading business ISP, Entanet.

Consistently rated by Internet Magazine as one of the top five of over 350 UK hosting companies, WFCS is seeing rapid growth in its dedicated server business as a result of the high performance, reliability and customisation it is able to offer customers says managing director of the company, Paul Sillars.

“Our dedicated server solutions provide unlimited flexibility for both Unix and Windows platforms. It really works because the customer gets superb uptime and transfer rates from Entanet’s network and from us they get our knowledge and customer support as well as a server that is configured to meet their needs.”

WFCS is providing a wide range of flexible dedicated server solutions, offering round-the-clock monitoring, full-strength firewall protection and committed support. As well as being one of the UK’s leading providers of hosting, WFCS also has specialist skills in security. The company runs over 80 servers, hosting more than 5000 web sites for its customers. These are hosted in Entanet’s Network Operations Centre (NOC) in Telford and in Entanet’s dedicated suite located in Telehouse, London.

Further expansion of capacity with Entanet is now being planned to give WFCS the ability to meet the needs of its growing customer base. Paul Sillars says that Entanet’s technical infrastructure delivers everything that WFCS and its customers need. “Entanet is providing us with a firm foundation for our hosting and dedicated server business. They are superb at running the network and have very good technical capability. The service level that this is delivering is hard to beat.”

Vice President of Entanet, John Tsai, comments: “We have a very strong relationship with WFCS and we will continue to invest in our infrastructure to ensure that they, and our many other hosting partners, are able to meet the needs of their customers and maintain the highest levels of service.”
