The anti-spam organisation Spamhaus has highlighted ISP UUNet as playing host to more e-mail SPAMMERs than any other provider:
It has 151 listings on the Spammers Block List (SBL), including 34 known spam gangs with ROKSO records.
In its acceptable use policy, UUNet states: "It is explicitly prohibited to send unsolicited bulk mail messages (junk mail or spam) of any kind (commercial advertising, political tracts, announcements), etc."
Abovenet, too, has a clear and prominent anti-spam policy - and is number four on the worst-spam ISP list. It host one of the biggest villains: Scott Richter/Wholesale Bandwidth, who made number four on the invividual offender list.It takes far more than a simple T&C condition against SPAM (junk e-mail) to stop the menace, yet allowing such obvious abuses to continue is horrendous.
