The RFU has joined forces with Business Serve plc to form Englandrugby.net, the official Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the Rugby World Champions
The Rugby Football Union (RFU) has today announced that they have joined forces with Business Serve plc, a leading Internet Service Provider, to offer high speed Broadband Internet Connections to England Rugby Supporters through the launch of Englandrugby.net.
Charles Allen, RFU Commercial Manager, says "The broadband market is rapidly expanding with 30,000 new users signing up to a variety of packages every week. Interest in the game of rugby is at an all time high and we will now be able to promote an England Rugby focused broadband service to our fans."
Englandrugby.net will provide a unique broadband service for the rugby community combining multiple email accounts, anti-virus and anti-spam protection, ensuring that England Rugby supporters have the option of a fast, reliable and secure Internet connection for the whole family.
To help optimise sales of the package, Business Serve plc has created an easy to use online ordering system linked to from www.rfu.com and has priced the service competitively at just £27.99 inc VAT per month with no BT set-up charge, saving fans £58.75 by connecting to the service.
William Jones, Indirect Sales Manager at Business Serve, says "We are delighted to be working with England Rugby and to offer such a comprehensive broadband product to its supporters. The profit generated by this venture will be invested back into the game at its grass roots."
Englandrugby.net will specifically be supporting the work of the RFU Rugby Development Officers (RDOs) in their roles of promoting and developing the game at grass roots level by providing the RDOs with 40 free broadband connections and the modems. As the RDOs spend much of their time working in areas of the country remote from Twickenham, these broadband connections will help to improve communication with HQ.
