Wi-Fi group Abrocour has teamed up with BT, HP, Intel and Microsoft to build broadband wireless services into newly built homes:
The company's first wireless project is with Berkeley Homes' Chelsea Bridge Wharf development in London.
Sam Sethi, chief executive at Abrocour, said: "When people move into their new home they dont want the hassle of configuring PC devices and a broadband wireless connection, they simply want to turn up and turn on their fast wireless broadband connection and get surfing.
It's really simple to do. Just like you'll do with other utilities such as water, gas and electricity, all you have to do is call and we'll supply you with the service," added Sethi. It's hoped that roughly 100,000 new homes will be equipped with wireless during 2004. More @
