By: MarkJ - 21 January, 2004 (8:48 AM)

ISP BT Yahoo! Internet has cut the cost of its unmetered AnyTime dialup service to just 3.99 for the first three months. The offer appears to reflect a similar deal introduced by UKOnline yesterday and Freeserve before it:

BT YAHOO! INTERNET TARGETS NEW CUSTOMERS BY SLASHING COST OF ANYTIME SERVICE

BT Yahoo! Internet is encouraging new users online by cutting the cost of its BT Yahoo! Anytime service.

The monthly fee for all new customers has been slashed to just 3.99 for the first three months - down from 15.99. This means savings of 26 over the first 12 months.

BT Yahoo! Anytime provides users with standard dial-up internet access of up to 150 hours per month for a fixed monthly fee. The service also offers a range of additional services. These include advanced email protection against spam and junk email, email virus protection, parental controls, firewall software and BT Yahoo! Instant Messenger.

"There are 12.5 million households in the UK that are now online. However, our introductory price to BT Yahoo! Anytime is designed to encourage those people still to make the move online," said Duncan Ingram, managing director at BT Openworld. "It opens up standard internet access as well as providing a comprehensive range of value-added services which enhance the whole internet experience."
