UK ISP BT Yahoo (
BTOpenworld) has apologised for sending out a bugged SpeedTouch 330 modem driver, which caused some users to suffer system freezes and boot-up problems:
"BT Openworld is aware of a problem with the drivers on some of our Speedtouch modems. This may cause a small percentage of our Windows 98 and Windows ME customers to experience start-up problems," the company told Web User.
A new version of the modem driver will be available from Monday, at http://www.speedtouch.co.uk/upgrade.asp, according to BT.
