BT Cuts Business Broadband Prices

Posted: 08th Jul, 2004 By: MarkJ
BT has cut the cost of its business broadband ADSL packages by offering a free installation and activation, including a 25% discount on their optional Internet Security Pack. The offer only applies to online orders and is valid until the end of July:

BT SUMMER OFFERS SLASH COST OF BROADBAND AND SECURITY FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

In a drive to increase the number of small businesses safely surfing the web this summer, BT is offering a broadband connection with free installation and activation, plus a 25 per cent discount on its Internet Security Pack, when the products are ordered online, until July 31, 2004.

BT will be cutting start up costs on a range of its connectivity offerings, from single user small business products, to a networked business product capable of supporting up to 20 computers. The business network products will also be available on a 30-day, no risk trial, during which time businesses can cancel the service and obtain a full refund.

Until July 31, 2004, customers purchasing a Business Broadband Single or Share product online will be offered a 25 per cent discount on the Internet Security Pack (12 months for the price of nine). The Internet Security Pack offers businesses protection from hackers, viruses and other malicious code when surfing the Internet, and costs £4.99 per month.

When purchased online, BT Business Broadband Single will come with free equipment and activation (standard price, £150). Monthly charges of £29.99 (for Business Broadband Single 500) and £45 (for Business Broadband Single 1000) will still apply. If purchased offline, equipment and activation is just £25.

For small businesses with up to four computers connected to the Internet, BT is offering connection to its Business Broadband Share product for £25 installation and activation (standard price, £199), when ordered via a sales agent. When ordering online, BT will provide a free 2Wire Intelligent Gateway and activation (standard price £199), with a monthly subscription of £45.

For businesses with a greater number of users on the network, BT is also offering its Business Broadband Network 500, 1000 and 2000 products at a reduced initial fee, and with a 30 day ‘no risk’ period. If ordered online, equipment and installation costs for the Business Broadband Network products are free (including the 2Wire Intelligent Gateway) or £25 if ordered through a sales agent (standard price £199).

Business Broadband Network 500 is suitable for businesses of up to five users (costing £65 per month), 1000 can support up to 10 (at a cost of £100 per month), and the 2MB 2000 product can support up to 20 concurrent users (for £130 per month).
