According to UK ISP altoHiway, many businesses fail to review their ISP contract and could thus be losing money:
Businesses that do not review their ISP contract are overspending by thousands of pounds
Chris Wood, sales and marketing director of UK business ISP altoHiway has warned that, "Businesses that haven't reviewed their ISP in the last three years are wasting money"
Chris says that many suppliers in the industry rely on customer apathy to maintain high charges for old technology. altoHiway http://www.altohiway.com regularly reviews its customers needs and promises to let them know if they could be getting a better service for the same or even a reduced cost.
In fact, Chris Wood can discuss a recent case where, because infrastructure prices had fallen since the contract was initiated, altoHiway actually raised a credit note of £55,000 to an enterprise customer because it was paying too much for the same service.
He can provide other examples, such as a business that was paying a quarter of a million pounds for an old point to point service. Because of technology advances and price reductions, altoHiway was able to slash their cost by 60 per cent while novating them from a 2 Meg circuit to a 10 meg circuit. So they're getting a better service and paying less for it.
