Zen's Blessing Joins ISPA Council

Posted: 14th Jul, 2004 By: MarkJ
Zen Internet's very own technical development man, James Blessing, has been elected to the UK Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) council:

Members of the council are used by ISPA as spokespeople for the industry and to make representations on behalf of the industry to Government bodies, the DTI and Oftel. Blessing was voted on to the board due to his involvement in Ofcom’s recent review of broadband and his work on behalf of ISPs in response to the Sexual Offence Act, which could prevent ISP abuse teams copying material to send to the police.

Commenting on his appointment, Blessing said: “It is a huge accolade to be voted on to the ISPA council, and I am delighted to accept the role. This position will allow me to further Zen Internet’s fight for the consumer on issues such as broadband availability and consumer protection issues. I will concentrate in the main on the broadband sub-group and will also act as an ISPA judge for the ISPA Awards.”
