Super-fast broadband networks, CCTV cameras that see through clothing (not infringing on personal privacy a bit that one!) and body scans are just a sample of the proposals in the Foresight project's new report:
The report was compiled by the Foresight project, a group of scientists and business people charged by government with finding new opportunities for science and technology.

"We have more control over electromagnetics than we ever had before and it enables us to do things with the spectrum that will be for the benefit of real people," he said. The project is government sponsored and could lead to some very interesting innovations. More @
