Virgin.net has signed a new Internet access distribution agreement with high street retailers Somerfield and Kwiksave. The deal will see CD's situated next to tills in some 1,200 stores nationwide:
Peter Tuomey, Virgin.net sales & marketing director said: "Home Internet access is now truly mass market. 13 million UK homes are now online. About 2 million of these are likely to switch from their current Internet provider during 2004 and a further one and a half million homes will come online for the first time this year. That's a sizeable market opportunity and this retail distribution agreement with Somerfield and Kwik Save is a key part of ensuring we continue to take a sizeable share of the growth".More @
