Southern Electric's broadband Powerline Communication (PLC) trials in Winchester are suffering due to a lack of customers. The group is now planning a new marketing push to promote the service:
So far, only 50 people have signed up for Southern Electric's Powerline Communication (PLC) broadband service, even though the commercial trial kicked off last summer.
Since then, 50 substations have been PLC-enabled, with a further three in the pipeline. It means that the service is now available to 9,600 people in the Hampshire city.Perhaps they should have considered stronger advertising nearer the start of the trial instead of the end (too late now)? More @
