Migrating BT Yahoo! Broadband Users

BT has issued us with a small statement regarding how it is about to begin moving its BT Yahoo! Broadband (ADSL) Internet access customers to a new network infrastructure:
From March 29, 2004, BT will begin moving its BT Yahoo! Broadband customers to a new network infrastructure. The migration of networks is geared towards giving our customers the best possible internet experience and providing a consistently high level of service across the family of consumer broadband products. Moving customers to the new network is due to be completed by the end of April 04.
Customers will not need to take any action as a result of this migration. The majority of customers will not notice any difference to their internet connection during this migration period, however a small number of users may experience a one off disconnection during the next few weeks. These customers will be able to reconnect immediately to the service by signing in again in the normal way. All of our customer care agents are thoroughly briefed on the migration project, and therefore can assist customers to get them back online quickly if they do experience problems. We anticipate that any customers that do experience disruption will only be offline for a couple of minutes.
BT apologises to its customers for any inconvenience this may cause them, but also assures that there will be minimum disruption.
