The governments Office of National Statistics (ONS) has released its latest monthly Internet access report (
HERE), which covers the period ending March 2004. Typically broadband connections have almost doubled.
Between March 2004 and the same period last year, dialup connections dropped by 5.6% (1.1% between February and March 2004). However, broadband connections grew by 97.7% for the same 12 month period (6.7% between February and March 2004).
Dialup continues to dominate overall subscriptions with 74.3%, yet broadband has closed the gap somewhat, claiming 25.7% of the entire UK market for Internet access.
