Telewest's UK ISP wing,
blueyonder, has today enhanced its existing Internet access products by offering customers a new website builder service:
Launch your own website in a matter of minutes
Telewest Broadband is responding to the growing number of customers who want to create a website for their family, club or hobby, by launching an innovative new service this week.
Building a website normally requires technical skill and html know-how, but the new blueyonder site builder takes surfers through the basics of setting up their own website in a matter of minutes.
The wizard lets users custom-design their own site, choosing from a range of themes and styles. They can then create a sophisticated personal web space adding features such as a calendar, photo gallery, blog, news feed, visitor poll and more.*
Chad Raube, director of internet at Telewest Broadband, said: "We have always tried to help customers get more from their internet connection and with the new blueyonder site builder, everybody can create their own home page.
"With no tricky html to get your head around, setting up your own website takes a matter of minutes. You can tailor the site to your own needs - uploading photos, graphics or adding extra pages when you want."
The service has been developed exclusively for Telewest Broadband by internet consultancy Saviso. The site builder is free for blueyonder customers, allowing them to utilise the 30Mb of webspace provided with their blueyonder service. To get up and running, customers can visit blueyonder.co.uk">http://sitebuilder.blueyonder.co.uk to activate their webspace and start building.
The launch of this service follows Telewest Broadband's recent announcement that it is speeding up its 512k, 1Mb and 2Mb blueyonder broadband connections by 50% - for free.
