In The Box Media Ltd. and The Football Conference have teamed up to publish 300 Conference football matches free for broadband users. The content will cover the 2004/05 season starting on 7th August 2004:
FOOTBALL CONFERENCE KICKS-OFF FREE OVER BROADBAND
The Football Conference and In The Box Media Ltd today announce a three year rights and production agreement to publish 300 Conference football matches free via broadband. This service will be available at http://www.conferencefootball.tv and will launch with the 2004/05 season starting on August 7 2004.
In The Box Media is using BTs digital and content platform BT Rich Media, to provide the technical solution for the publishing and distribution of the video content. The matches are available on a free to air basis with the costs of operation being met through advertising and sponsorship.
Fans will be able to receive free footage of the matches over broadband which will be available shortly after the final whistle of each game. A selection of live coverage will also be streamed. As well as match highlights, content will include interviews with players, managers and fans.
