UK Online Shopping & Music Boom

Legal UK music downloads have topped 500,000 so far this year, that according to the Official UK Chart Company. Similarly online shopping via credit cards has more than doubled its income to £2.4bn (123% increase over 2003):
The food and drink sector emerged as the big winner, where online sales more than trebled. The popularity of buying books and music was also strong, with an increase of 116%.
The amount spent on domestic services, such as insurance and utility payments has grown by more than three times in the last year. Travel and tourism remains a strong growth area online with annual expenditure up by 159%.
