Focus EDL announces UK launch of Excelsus Z-420UKP2J Dynamic In-line Microfilter

Focus Electronic Distribution Limited (Focus EDL), the Distributor for Excelsus Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of the Excelsus Z-420UKP2J ADSL Microfilter in the UK.

The Excelsus(R) Z-BLOCKER(R) Z-420UKP2J dynamic customer premises equipment (CPE) filter has been designed to improve digital subscriber line (DSL) broadband services in the United Kingdom. Approved for use on the British Telecom network, this patented filter provides the highest possible voice quality and data rates for DSL broadband subscribers even when using four or more filters on the same phone line. The dynamic filters meet British Telecom requirements per SIN 346 Issue 2.4 (November 2003) as well as ITU-T G.992.1 and G.992.2.

The Z-420UKP2J activates only when the phone is in use, minimizing capacitance. While some filters can prevent Caller Line Identification (CLI) from functioning, the Z-420UKP2J keeps CLI working even after up to ten filters are used. These filters also block radio-frequency (RF) interference from cordless phones and other wireless sources, enabling uninterrupted video/audio streaming and games. The Z-420UKP2J also eliminates interference between ADSL and plain old telephone service (POTS), and allows a clear signal.

The Z-420UKP2J filter is designed to be installed into every telephone socket in the DSL subscriber's premises that contains voice-band equipment devices, including corded/cordless telephones, answering machines, fax machines, 56Kb/s and lower-rate modems, and digital television boxes. Excelsus DSL filters and splitters incorporate unique, industry-leading Z-BLOCKER technology that demonstrates high performance voice and data characteristics with regard to insertion loss, return loss, and stop-band isolation.
