Freedom2Surf ISP Cuts ADSL Costs

UK ISP Freedom2Surf (F2S) has just become the latest provider to cut the cost of its broadband ADSL services:
Freedom2Surf Announces Free ADSL Activation and Slashes the Cost of ADSL Hardware and Broadband for Business
Freedom2Surf, the UK's leading independent ISP, has today announced that it will be offering free activation across all its consumer ADSL products, in response to the price reductions announced on 3 April 2003 by BT Wholesale. Freedom2Surf is also slashing the cost of its ADSL hardware and the cost of its business broadband packages.
As part of Freedom2Surf's new open-ended offer, customers will be able to subscribe to the company's Home User service for only £22.50 inc. VAT a month with no activation charge to pay. The Home User 512K ADSL service includes 20 email addresses and 20mb of webspace with a one-month minimum contract. In addition, Freedom2Surf has reduced the cost of its ADSL hardware across all of its home and business services and is now providing a Fujitsu FDX 310 modem and two micro-filters available for only £69.99 + VAT.
Freedom2Surf has also introduced new pricing for its business broadband packages. Companies will be able to sign up to Freedom2Surf's Pure IP 1024K business package for only £49 + VAT a month. The cost of the 2mb ADSL connection with a 20:1 contention ratio has been reduced to only £70 + VAT a month, from £140 + VAT a month previously.
Freedom2Surf's new pricing for its home and business ADSL packages will be effective from 4 April 2003:
Home User Packages:
- 512K, 50:1, Pay As You Go Monthly package, free activation, £22.50 per month inc. VAT
- 1mb, 20:1, free activation, £49.99 inc. VAT per month
- 2mb, 20:1, free activation, £70 inc. VAT per month
Business Packages (excluding VAT):
- 512k Business Lite, 50:1, free activation, £22.50 per month, One month contract
- 512k Business, 20:1, £59.99 set-up, £35 per month, One month contract
- 1024k Business, 20:1, £59.99 set-up, £49.99 per month, One month contract
- 2048k Business, 20:1, £59.99 set-up, £70 per month, One month contract
NB: The activation fee is waived on condition that customers stay with Freedom2Surf for 12 months. If customers cancel before that time the activation fee will become due.
