FreeBB have updated their pre-registered customers with the following update. However since not one of the 53 subscribers offered a connection has signed up, they have decided instead to offer a completely different type of 'service':
Change of emphasis for freebb ...
Having offered the first 53 free broadband connections to subscribers, we are surprised that not one of them has actually claimed their entitlement.
As such, the emphasis of freebb.co.uk will change, with immediate effect. Instead of our trying to negotiate discounts and offers that will support a free broadband connection for you, we will simply negotiate exclusive discounts etc and you will be free to do whatever you like with the savings you make.
As this is somewhat different to our intended business model, you may wish to cancel your subscription to this newsletter using the link at the bottom of this page. Rest assured that in any case, your details would never be passed to anyone outside freebb.co.uk.
If you choose to stay subscribed to this newsletter, you will continue to receive the weekly email containing details of the best discounts and offers that we have been able to find.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in FreeBB.Perhaps none of the 53 people chose to pursue the offering because FreeBB hasn't once released any real details about its supposed 'service'.
That or the customers simply dont exist, although we have no way to verify that and FreeBB don't appear to issue 'personal' responses - only automated replies.
It would appear then that Freebb are no longer going to offer free broadband and instead just offer discount advertising links to other companies. Rather a big change from bringing Free broadband to customers.
