The premiership Liverpool Football Club is apparently considering the launch of a branded Internet access service and is currently assessing demand among its supporters:
In addition to offering internet access, fans could receive a Liverpool FC-branded email address, and other services such as its e-season ticket, which provides internet match action and exclusive interviews, as part of the package.
The club would link up with an existing ISP to launch the service, and said it has received lots of offers from internet firms keen to exploit its large fan base, though it did not reveal if any such deal is on the cards. The
netimperative.info item notes that such a service could spark similar offers from other clubs, although Arsenal FC has had its own ISP for over a year now.
