Netscalibur appoints Jamie Gunn as Managing Director
The Board of Netscalibur, the UK-based provider of Internet services to businesses, today announced the appointment of Jamie Gunn as Managing Director. Gunn was previously Netscalibur's Chief Financial Officer.
The board also announced that Francesco Caio, the CEO and founder of Netscalibur, is leaving the company to take the position of CEO of Cable & Wireless PLC.
Gunn said: "I am very much looking forward to the challenge of taking over from Francesco. He has made significant contributions to the development and growth of Netscalibur and leaves the company as a healthy, vibrant business with a blue chip client list, good growth prospects and a robust financial position. We are sorry to see him go and wish him all the best for the future."
Caio, who founded Italy's first independent mobile phone network, Omnitel, and is a former CEO of both Merloni and Olivetti, said: "Netscalibur has been an exciting and demanding challenge. I leave behind an extremely capable management team who will, I am certain, continue to build on the foundations that have been laid."
Netscalibur, a European provider of IP services based in London, has consistently recorded growth above market trends. In the UK, Netscalibur began generating profits in 2002 and continues to enjoy substantial growth. In February alone, revenues grew by more than 25% year on year. Recent high profile client wins for Netscalibur include blue-chip clients such as Harvey Nichols, Lycos and IG Index.
