As promised in our recent
interview and earlier news items, Scottish Hydro-Electric and SSE Telecom have officially begun the start of their commercial
Powerline (broadband Internet access via power cables) rollout.
The rollout will start with the town of Stonehaven and also cover the previous trial areas of Crieff and Campbeltown (Scotland). Coverage is expected to increase slowly with areas in Southern England on the list.
The service itself costs roughly £25 per month, more details on pricing and services can be found in our interview.
