We're proud to announce the winners of our
ISP OF THE YEAR AWARDS - 2003, which are issued in respect to a services performance throughout the previous year (2002).
This year, unlike before, we've been able to utilise our new systems to come up with the winners based purely on reader feedback. We've also expanded to cover Broadband ADSL & Cable Modem services.
Please remember that these awards only reflect consumer residential services:
Unmetered Dialup Winner = Firenet
Comment: Firenet has continued to offer a stable service and, judging by the number of positive reviews and feedback, their customers thought so to.
Broadband ADSL Winner = Pipex
Comment: Despite experiencing some well publicised problems last year, our readers were still highly supportive of Pipex's residential ADSL services. The sheer quantity of feedback was just enough to tip the balance in their favour.
Broadband Cable Modem Winner = Telewest Blueyonder
Comment: It's hard to choose a winner for this category, especially when there's only two real choices =). Never the less Telewest has managed to come out on top and continues to provide strong and affordable broadband services.Hopefully Wireless and Satellite services will be included next year, when there's more feedback and ISPs have had time to better establish themselves.
