The UKs largest cable operator, NTL, has appointed James Mooney, a former Nextel Communications COO, as its new non-executive chairman:
Mooney will work alongside CEO Barclay Knapp to help the firm, which recently emerged from bankruptcy protection, to deliver profitable growth for its investors. He is also going to "make certain that NTL conforms to the highest standards of corporate governance".
NTL, which earlier this year completed a deal to swap the majority of its debt for equity, described Mooney as "a battle-tested executive" and said he was their first choice for the position.The move follows last weeks appointment of Scott Schubert as the operators new CFO; more @
